Simon became deeply interested in the world of Black and White Photography. He set up his own home darkroom that he would develop the photos.

During World War Two, Simon did a lot of government exhibits for the promotion of the war effort through his exhibit company Cytell Exhibits. This photo is one of the remaining pictures we have of that period.
